Important Facts and Requirements
These Hawaii activities for kids take place at 7:00 am, and their level of difficulty is considered a medium hike. The duration of the adventure is approximately three hours, covering a distance of two miles. To ensure your comfort and safety, we provide parking, a backpack, a snack (including a granola bar, chips, and juice), and bottled water during the hike. However, please note that transportation and gratuity for your guide are not included, so make sure to plan accordingly.
Meeting your guide is easy, as we gather at the Kahului Park n’ Ride meeting location. Look for the large concrete wall with a single row of parking facing Hwy 380 west of Hwy 311 just before entering Kahului. Your guide will be there to welcome you and lead the way to Maui’s paradise.
While the adventure is suitable for children aged three and older, younger children are also welcome. However, children under seven years old must be accompanied by an adult who can assist them during the hike. It’s important to note that the activity requires participants to be physically fit and able to squat down and stand up without assistance. Additionally, all participants must be capable of walking without aid, as the terrain involves climbing and descending similar to stairs. If you have recently undergone surgery or have difficulty walking on stairs, this activity may not be suitable for you. Safety is our priority, and it’s essential to ensure the well-being of all participants.

Please be aware that our kid’s treasure hunt adventure operates rain or shine, and no cancellations are possible due to weather conditions. In case of hazardous weather, we reserve the right to switch the location of the treasure hunt without offering a refund. Rest assured that we prioritize your safety and will provide an alternative safe trail for you to enjoy, even if swimming may not be possible.
To make the most of your adventure, we recommend wearing running shoes, water shoes, or sports sandals. Keep in mind that your footwear may get muddy, dirty, or wet during the hike. Dress comfortably in shorts and short-sleeved shirts or t-shirts. If you are particularly bothered by mosquitoes, you may opt to wear long pants and a long-sleeved shirt. Don’t forget to bring your swimsuit for a refreshing dip in the stream (optional). It’s also advisable to bring a towel, sunscreen, and a camera or phone in a waterproof bag to capture those special moments. While we provide transportation, water, snacks, backpacks, ponchos (in case of rain), and insect repellent (if needed), you are responsible for any personal equipment you choose to bring along. Additionally, restrooms are not available on the trail, so please let your guide know if you require alternative arrangements.
